M V Jones, Little Heath Farm and Shop near Dunham Massey are mixed beef, sheep and arable farmers. Here, Thomas Jones talks us through the decision to buy an Alpego FG300 rotovator and Delta 300 subsoiler.
“Before purchasing our Alpego FG300 rotovator and Delta 300 subsoiler, we had not previously dealt. with RVW Pugh. However after being introduced to the company and product they were the obvious choice as we felt all of our needs could be met. We needed a machine that was multipurpose as we have a range of different land and conditions for it to compete with. We had looked at a few however only the Alpego has a mid-mounted gearbox which is a feature we really like as it eliminates the piling up of soil on one side of the machine. It also allows us to travel down the roads with complete confidence as the machine is perfectly balanced.
After using the Rotovator along with the Delta subsoiler for our first season we were pleasantly surprised to see that the land we had used it on had a higher seed germination rate than the land that we didn’t use it on. Another feature we really like is that the machine is interchangeable with the ability to remove legs on the subsoiler for different applications.
We are very pleased with our machine and the service provided by RVW Pugh and look forward to dealing with them again in the near future”.
